Went to my second libertarian dinner tonight, at the "Legends" Spanish restaurant in Manuka. Some kick-ass grub, and I was introduced to the wonderful world of Sangria, drinking a whole jug myself. A smaller turnout than last time, but still much fun was had, including a lengthy argument about Israel, which is always fun. The Australian's Duncan McFarlane gave us the good news that the launch of the Aussie libertarian Überblog draws closer, and I also met 'Strawman' from the mighty Oz site Bovination. We adjourned to a
bar where much cheap beer was had and I got thoroughly plastered. Many
thanks to fellow libertarian Stephen
Dawson, who performed the designated driver-cum-taxi service. We also
nearly crashed into 50 kangaroos on the way home. I've done a lot of night
travelling in this country, and I have never seen so many kangaroos
on the road as I did tonight. They were like bloody locusts out there.
